09.15 – 10.00 – Workshop no. 2
10.00 – 10.15 – Cookie break
10.15 – 11.00 – Workshop no. 3
11.10 – 11.55 – Workshop no. 4
12.05 – 12.50 – Lunch
12.50 – 13.30 – Run-off
All students must sign up for four workshops on the day; one in each of the four categories.
The possible workshops are:
DISABILITY: Are you insane?
DISABILITY: They see me rollin' they hatin'
DISABILITY: Cultural sharing and solutions
ETHNIC MINORITIES: Ethnic minorities in China
ETHNIC MINORITIES: Indigenous minorities
ETHNIC MINORITIES: Racist
RELIGION: Christianity? not in my house!
RELIGION: Don't marry the Jew
RELIGION: Do you think you know Islam? Think again!
WOMEN'S RIGHTS: Don't worry I only ran into a door
WOMEN'S RIGHTS: Women and prostitution
WOMEN'S RIGHTS: Women living with HIV
On the day, the different workshops will be producing articles and material for the blog. A small group of students will go around, collecting the material and organizing it under the four themes of the blog.
Welcome! This blog is made by Waterford Kamhlaba UWC and UWC Red Cross Nordic as a product of the two simultaneous conferences on discrimination that our schools will be having on March 21st.
The conferences focus on four topics: Religion, disabilities, ethnic minorities and women's rights. On the day, participants from all over the world will produce articles and other material to be shared between our schools on this blog. Click here to view the program.
